Which licenses are covered?
This notice concerns Alabama state/county business privilege licenses. ALDOR explains that these licenses apply to businesses, occupations, vocations, and professions covered by Title 40, Chapter 12 of the Alabama Code. State/county licenses are issued by the Probate Judge or License Commissioner in the county where the business is located, and a license may be required in every county where the business operates unless otherwise provided.
Municipal licenses are separate
