Deadline Shield: contract deadline and renewal tracking

For owners, office managers, and property managers. Deadline Shield helps you find and track key business dates. These dates can hide in contracts, licenses, permits, insurance papers, and other files. Keep track of notice windows before you are locked into another term.

Upload a PDF, Word file, scan, or photo. Deadline Shield looks for dates that may matter. It shows the source words next to each result. You check the date before you save it. Once you approve it, Deadline Shield can remind you before it is due.

How Deadline Shield works

  1. Upload your file. Use the file or photo you already have.
  2. Check the date. Deadline Shield finds a date and shows the words that support it.
  3. Save the date. Approve the date if it looks right. We then track it and send alerts as it gets close.

You stay in control. The app does not save every date on its own. For key dates, check the result against the full file. Keep a second reminder for any date that could affect money, rights, or coverage.

What can you track?

  • Contracts and leases: renewal dates, end dates, notice periods, and cancel dates.
  • Insurance: policy end dates, proof of coverage, renewals, and follow-up dates.
  • Licenses and permits: end dates, renewal dates, and repeat tasks.
  • Training and records: due dates, renewals, and other time-based tasks.
  • Daily business work: filings, vendor deals, warranties, and repeat dates.

Why the source text matters

A date can mean one thing in one part of a file and something else in another. One part may show an end date. Another may say when notice must be sent. Deadline Shield shows the source text so you can see why a date was found. That makes each result easier to check.

Deadline Shield helps you organize dates. It is not legal, tax, accounting, insurance, or other expert advice. It may not find every date. Check key dates against the source file. Ask a qualified expert when you need one.

Privacy and reminders

Your private files are not public search pages. File routes need account access. You can read more in our Security Center and Privacy Policy.

After you approve a date, Deadline Shield can send email reminders. Some plans also offer in-app or push alerts. Alerts can fail, so use a second reminder for critical dates.

Common questions

What deadlines can Deadline Shield help track?

It can track contract renewals, notice windows, license and permit dates, insurance dates, filings, and other business deadlines.

Does Deadline Shield save every date it finds?

No. It shows a suggested date and the source text. You decide what to save.

How do reminders work?

After you approve a date, Deadline Shield can send alerts as it gets closer.

Is Deadline Shield legal or expert advice?

No. It helps you track dates. Check key dates against the source file. Ask an expert when you need one.

Why not just track dates in a spreadsheet?

A spreadsheet can work well if you keep its dates, source links, and reminders up to date. Deadline Shield puts document review, source text, saved dates, and email alerts in one place. On Operations, teams can assign an owner and see a record of changes. Weigh the plan cost against the time you spend on your sheet. You still need to check key dates; no tool can promise you will never miss one.

Built around the next step

Important paperwork deserves follow-through.

I’m Jordan. My background is in technology support and customer service, with more than 17 years spent helping people use technology and solve problems.

That is the focus I bring to Deadline Shield: making a complicated task easier to work through. A renewal date buried in a contract is only useful if you can find it, check what it means, and act on it.

I’m building Deadline Shield to connect those steps. AI helps find potential deadlines. The source text helps you check them. You decide what to save, then reminders help you follow through. For teams, Operations adds assigned owners and acknowledgements so the next step has someone responsible for it.

Useful AI. Human judgment.

The goal is clearer information and a practical next step. You stay in control of the dates you approve.
