Contract Notice Deadline Calculator

Estimate the calendar date that falls a specified number of days before a contract ends. Useful for reviewing auto-renewal, cancellation, and non-renewal notice clauses.

Calculate the estimated notice date

Estimated notice deadline

Check the clause before relying on this date. This calculator subtracts ordinary calendar days only. Your agreement may define business days differently, use a different anchor date, require notice to be received rather than sent, specify a time zone or delivery method, change deadlines that fall on weekends or holidays, or contain amendments that change the term.

Why this date matters

If an agreement automatically renews unless notice is given a set number of days before expiration, the last safe notice date can matter more than the renewal date itself. A reminder on the contract end date may arrive after the actual cancellation window has closed.

What to keep with the calculated date

  • The current governing contract and amendments.
  • The clause that states the notice period.
  • The current term end or renewal date.
  • The required notice delivery method and destination.
  • Proof that notice was delivered when you act.
